Fohhn Gallery

Platform for immersive audio

Fohhn Gallery. Space for Art. Our object-based platform for immersive audio enables the flexible creation and reproduction of three-dimensional soundscapes across a wide range of applications. Powerful real-time rendering and signal management tools, combined with support for electronic room acoustics and reverb plugins, provide the foundation for highly immersive listening experiences.

Fohhn Gallery Processor

The Fohhn Gallery Processor is the control center for object-based sound, powering flexible 3D audio environments with up to 128 outputs and up to 33 zones. Its integrated software runs directly on the device, eliminating the need for a separate computer. Hardware and software features include:

  • Two hardware versions: GP-64 (64 I/O) and GP-128 (128 I/O)
  • High-end hardware for demanding real-time audio applications
  • 100% object-based editing and rendering
  • Intuitive control, placement and movement of audio objects and live inputs across all three spatial axes
  • Integrated Cue Media Player, effect buses and VST3 plugin compatibility
  • Optional active room acoustics
  • Supports all output formats and loudspeaker layouts, from 5.1, Dolby Atmos and MPEG-H to custom setups and fulldome applications
  • Binaural headphone processing
  • Connectivity via Dante, AES67, AVB (Milan) and MADI
  • Separate DAW plugin for immersive audio content production

Features & Applications

Experience the possibilities

See how Fohhn Gallery brings together software, processor and Fohhn loudspeaker systems in one integrated platform. The video showcases a real-world hotel installation, demonstrating how object-based audio and advanced signal management in one device simplify the design and operation of complex multi-zone audio environments.

Real-time object control

The Fohhn Gallery Panning Grid lets you move audio objects freely in real time using your cursor or visualize object movement from immersive media playback and live position tracking via OSC. Intuitive plane and dome views provide clear spatial control while remaining completely independent of the underlying speaker layout. The layout is configured separately within the software, where Fohhn Gallery processes the individual speaker signals and transmits them via Dante to the Fohhn amplifiers or active systems.

The Cue Media Player

The optional Fohhn Gallery Cue Media Player enables immersive multi-channel audio playback in addition to the 128 live inputs. Audio content from, for example, WAV or ADM files is treated like physical inputs within the system, allowing it to be used alongside live sources in object-based workflows. The Cue Media Player supports playback of all kinds of formats including 5.1, 7.4.1. or Dolby Atmos and can send and receive both OSC commands and timecode for synchronized productions.

How to produce content

The producer plugin

Create immersive audio content for Fohhn Gallery directly in your preferred DAW. You can either export standard formats such as Dolby Atmos ADM or use the optionally available Producer Plugin to export a dedicated object-based file format for the Fohhn Gallery Processor. The plugin also supports binaural monitoring on headphones as well as monitoring over standard and custom immersive loudspeaker setups, making it easy to produce and review spatial audio in any studio environment. Simply transfer the finished file to the Fohhn Gallery Processor, where it is played back by the integrated Cue Media Player on any loudspeaker layout.

Multi-zone audio. One processor.

Fohhn Gallery enables multiple independent audio zones and output formats within a single installation. In this hotel example, one system simultaneously delivers immersive 3D audio in the theatre, a 7.1 mix in the bar, stereo monitoring in the control room, binaural headphone playback in the guest rooms or a mono downmix for the bathrooms. With up to 32 configurable buses, each zone can use its own output format or even completely different audio content – all from a single Fohhn Gallery processor.

VST plugins & modules

Active room acoustics & more

Each Fohhn Gallery bus feeding a loudspeaker setup can integrate its own VST3 plugin, enabling reverb or virtually any other creative effect. Plugins might also be used for Ambisonics or upmixes.

With a dedicated module available on request, you can even implement an active room acoustics solution. It calculates individual reflections from the signals of installed room microphones related to each speaker and distributes them as decorrelated reflections across the whole loudspeaker system.

CT-110

Purpose-built for immersive audio

Fohhn Gallery works with the entire Fohhn loudspeaker portfolio. The CT-110, however, was developed specifically to meet the demands of larger immersive installations. It delivers true full-range performance, high dynamics and even, wide dispersion in a coaxial design, making it ideal for theatres, cinemas, theme parks and showrooms. The passive 10"/1.4" loudspeaker features an 80° × 80° coverage pattern and a coaxial design for consistent performance across the listening area.

Theaters

Expand the stage

Multi-channel audio can really enrich the visitor experience: A high-resolution sound system at the front with multiple hangs and the use of motion trackers, surround channel speakers on the rear and side walls all the way to a real-time mono downmix for the ceiling speaker in the bathroom. Fohhn Gallery makes it all possible.

Museums & exhibitions

Create memorable experiences

Reproducing natural spaces, creating virtual worlds or playing with the visitor's perception - with Fohhn Gallery there are no limits to your imagination. Realize your vision of an art exhibition or museum experience!

Simulators & rides

Beyond reality

A person's auditory perception is three-dimensional. If an experience is to be simulated as realistically as possible, this can only be achieved with immersive audio. Take your racing simulator, ride or theme park to a new level.

Live music

A clearer mix

Object-based audio opens up new possibilities for live sound reinforcement. Distributing instruments and vocals across multiple loudspeaker arrays instead of a traditional stereo system improves localization, speech intelligibility and mix transparency while providing greater creative freedom for artists and sound engineers. Suitable loudspeaker configurations in the correct venue also enable immersive audio experiences.

A successful cooperation

Fohhn has a long tradition in the field of immersive audio. Many years ago, we developed loudspeakers for Sonic Emotion for wave field synthesis. Later we collaborated with Encircled Audio, Yamaha and Dolby Atmos Studios. We also work with Müller BBM to equip projects with the Vivace electronic room reverberation system. You may have already experienced some of these technologies in our Fohhn SoundLab. Thanks to the cooperation with Tom Ammermann from New Audio Technology, we can now also offer a complete solution from a single source: Fohhn Gallery.
