German Film Award

The German Film Award, also known as the “Lola”, is one of the highest honors in the German film industry. The German equivalent of the Oscars is awarded in recognition of outstanding achievement in television. At the 73rd German Film Awards ceremony, Fohhn was represented with loudspeakers in the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin and provided the perfect sound in the background. The theater offers space for around 1,600 guests, including high-profile celebrities, who need to be treated to first-class sound. This is achieved thanks to the Focus Venue System, which was provided by B&R Medientechnik, and Fohhn Beam Steering technology. This technology directs the sound radiation precisely towards the visitors. This ensures a high level of speech intelligibility and prevents noise from reaching the microphones, which does not affect the TV sound. This is achieved with Fohhn Audio Soft without the need for mechanical tilting or bending of the systems. In addition, the high-performance PS800 and PS850 systems for concert sound with associated DI power amplifiers are fitted.
