Catholic church, Mörschwil (Switzerland)

Since the existing installation at the Mörschwil church was getting on a bit, a new sound system was needed which would work well for the next 20 years.

Today’s services are increasingly varied. There is no longer just a need to ensure that language can be heard clearly, as live music and multimedia are also increasingly used in the House of God. Major criteria were an appealing, subtle loudspeaker appearance and great sound.

As the experience with Fohhn systems had already been very good in the Mörschwil Community Centre, the decision was made in favour of the proven manufacturer and a suitable system was determined on the basis of a simulation in the Fohhn Designer.

The best solution turned out to be a DLI-330 line source speaker with Dante Input and Fohhn Beam Steering Technology, supported by two AS-22 subwoofers and a LC-60 line source speaker as a sidefill below the pulpit. Four LC-100 line source speakers were used as a delay line source and rood loft PA.

The LC loudspeakers and subwoofers are supplied by two DI-4.1000 system amplifiers.

We would like to thank Marco Mathis for the initiative and Gallus Media AG for the planning and installation.
