The Biennale Architettura 2023, Venice

Fohhn is also called "the architect's best friend", and we remain true to that. At the Architettura 2023 Biennale in Venice - one of the most important architecture exhibitions in the world - we are the main technical sponsor of the Italian Pavilion. 

The Italian Pavilion is curated by Fosbury Architecture, a collective of five architects known for caring more about content than entertainment. The stated goal was to curate actions that extend beyond the duration of the Biennale, and already in the four months leading up to the Biennale, nine site-specific interventions have been carried out throughout Italy, representing a cross-section of young, experimental architecture. The results of these processes will be exhibited in the Italian Pavilion from May and until November 2023, offering an original perspective on Italian architecture in an international context. 

The 18th International Architecture Exhibition, "The Laboratory of the Future," curated by Lesley Lokko, focuses on the historical, economic and environmental challenges of Africa as a starting point for addressing global problems. The role of the Biennale di Venezia as an institution goes beyond architecture, and its approach sets an example for other disciplines. The exhibition strives for carbon neutrality and focuses on decolonization and decarbonization to align with global sustainability goals.
