St. Mary's Cathedral, Killarney, Ireland
St. Mary’s Cathedral presented significant challenges for the sound system: long reverberation times, high ceilings, and the requirement to preserve the historic architecture as much as possible.
DLI-330, DLI-230, and DLI-130 loudspeakers are used in the nave and the entrance area. Thanks to the integrated beam steering technology, sound radiation could be precisely directed toward the listening areas without tilting the loudspeakers. This significantly reduces disruptive reflections off ceilings and walls and achieves clear, natural speech reproduction.
LXP-150, LXP-100, and LXP-60 provide supplementary sound reinforcement in the side aisles, the rear area, at the altar, and on the organ loft. This creates uniform and unobtrusive sound distribution throughout the entire church interior—precisely tailored to the cathedral’s acoustic requirements.
