Dom Mainz

At Mainz Cathedral, heritage protection requirements and long reverberation times present particular challenges for sound reinforcement. To ensure excellent speech intelligibility with minimal visual impact, Fohhn Beam Steering systems from the Linea Focus series were installed.

The nave and the side aisles are covered by the models LFI-220, LFI-350 and LFI-450. Thanks to precise electronic beam steering, these systems enable targeted sound distribution to the audience areas while significantly reducing unwanted reflections.

This installation successfully combines state-of-the-art audio technology with the sensitive demands of a historic building, delivering clear and consistent sound throughout the cathedral.
