Tilted sound dispersion. Mounted straight.

Tilted sound dispersion. Mounted straight.

More than an update.

Linea LXP is there!

For years, our iconic Linea LX systems have enjoyed great popularity in projects all over the world. In churches, universities, community halls and mobile applications, they provide high-quality transmission of speech and music. The successor LXP is acoustically redesigned and even more powerful with improved low-frequency reproduction and dynamics. Also new: the sound dispersion is tilted downward by 5° using passive Fohhn Beam Steering Technology. This and the continuous T-slot allow for easy and flexible mounting. In installations as well as in live applications, LXP will delight you.

Mounted straight

5° tilted sound beam

The tilt of the sound dispersion of our LXP systems allows for a straight mounting against the wall or on a stand in many applications. Wherever the 5° is sufficient, a mechanical tilt becomes unnecessary. The tilt does not only apply to the high frequency unit - Also the sound from the 4" chassis is tilted by a fixed 5° through passive beam alignment and is matched to the high frequency reproduction using a sophisticated crossover design.

Use Case 1

Community hall

Even the shortest LXP line source system can be sufficient to provide high-quality sound in larger rooms. Thanks to the 5° tilt, the speaker can usually be mounted straight against the wall and blends in discreetly next to a projection screen.

Benefits
  • Directed sound dispersion
  • Minimization of interfering reflections
  • Best speech intelligibility
  • No mechanical tilt necessary
  • Economical solution

Use Case 2

Mobile application

LXP also performs well in mobile applications. With improved low-end and even more dynamics than the predecessor, live music also becomes a pleasure to listen to. Of course, a Fohhn subwoofer is recommended for bass supplementation.

Benefits
  • Optimized for clear speech & music
  • Weatherproof according to IP52; IP54 with accessories
  • In black and white in stock
  • Optionally in numerous special colors

Use Case 3

Church

LXP systems are a first-class solution for acoustically challenging rooms. The directional dispersion combined with the 5° tilt ensures that the sound is directed towards the listeners and minimizes reflections from the ceiling and the back wall of the building.

Benefits
  • Clear speech in every row
  • Discreet mouning without tilt possible
  • Also suitable for church bands
  • Available in stone and wood optics

Guide values

The different lengths

The fact that Fohhn line source speakers are available in different sizes does not only have to do with the output performance. The length of the line also influences the dispersion behavior of a system. The longer the line, the more the low frequencies are directed. We recommend the distances shown in the graphic as guide values for the use of each model.
