Prolight & Sound 2018: Focus Venue impresses Frankfurt

We thank all our visitors for your keen interest in Fohhn and our systems.

Fohhn’s appearance at this year’s Prolight & Sound in Frankfurt was dominated (both inside and outside the exhibition hall) by a focus on concert sound. The company’s new comprehensive system combination comprising Focus Venue Beam Steering line arrays, the brand new Perform PS-850 high performance subwoofers and the DI-Series CLASS D system amplifiers presented a unique, forward-looking solution for concert sound applications in large event venues (such as concert halls or arenas) and clubs.

From Tuesday to Friday, visitors had an opportunity to experience this new concert sound system live during a 10-minute demo, held three times daily in an outdoor area of the exhibition site. During the live demos, which featured a variety of music tracks (from techno to rock), as well as speech examples, Focus Venue proved convincing across the board. Both event organisers and visitors were highly impressed with the performance capability of the system and its integrated technologies. Special features such as the spontaneous adjustment of the loudspeaker inclination angle from + 40° to -40° in real time, via software, resulted in several “ooh and aah” moments from the audience. The Fohhn concert sound system was additionally used during the breaks between all the demos.

The new DI-Series amplifiers also attracted considerable interest with their diverse range of connection options (AES/EBU, Dante™, Optocore, Analogue), long-lasting peak power and extensive DSP processing.

A small extra highlight on the Fohhn stand was a flown PT-70 system, which, through use of the new VPT-70 PO swivel bracket and pole, can now be comfortably adjusted from the floor.

Many thanks for all your visits and fascinating discussions during the show. As usual, we’d also like to thank everyone who contributed towards making this exhibition a success for us!
