Stage Ready Fohhn Sound Reinforcement in the Georgianum, Vreden

School theatre is equipped with Fohhn Linea LX and Arc systems.

Founded in 1677, the Georgianum is one of three high schools in the town of Vreden: In 1965, the former junior high was extended into a full high school. Since 2010 it has officially been classed as a “European School”. The present school building was acquired in 1952 and houses, among other things, a large theatrical auditorium that is used for school productions and other events. A few months ago, the auditorium was equipped with a new sound system – from Fohhn.

For the main PA system, audiokonzept from Ahaus, the company responsible for this installation, decided on Linea loudspeaker systems: A black LX-600, 2-way, high performance line source system was mounted on each side of the stage portal. The systems had proved convincing on account of their extremely focused beam dispersion and the first class quality of their speech transmission and music reproduction.

Underneath the stage, four Arc AS-22 subwoofers were installed: In order to avoid resonance, holes were made in the concrete for the subwoofers, with enclosures built just behind. Finally, any gaps were filled using over a tonne of sand. The subwoofers form a horizontal Focus Sub Array: Their beam dispersion can be controlled in real time using an FC-9 system controller.

At the front of the stage, four ultra-compact Linea LX-11 systems were strategically placed to act as nearfield speakers.

We congratulate audiokonzept on this successful project.
