New theater - New sound system
As the name suggests, the La Comédie de Clermont-Ferrand theater, inaugurated in 2020, is primarily dedicated to comedy. But music, dance and circus events also take place in the large hall, which offers space for almost 900 people.
A Fohhn Focus Modular System was installed to meet the diverse requirements for the sound system in the hall. The array, which is only 22 cm wide, consists of high-frequency and mid-low frequency modules that are hung one below the other on the right and left of the stage. Thanks to the integrated Fohhn Beam Steering Technology, the sound dispersion of the active system can be perfectly adjusted to the room without the need to curve the array. In this way, an elegant integration is also achieved visually.
In addition, two PT-70 high-performance loudspeakers are used in the middle above the stage and the first two rows of seats are supported by eight LX-11 near-field loudspeakers. In the low end, the system is completed by two PS-850 subwoofers, the first double 18-inch sub from Fohhn. In addition, six LX-100 line source speakers are attached to the side walls of the theater hall and are used for immersive sound applications. All passive speaker systems driven by DI and MA system amplifiers.
Fohhn congratulates Manganelli Technology on this successful installation.
