EXPO 2010 in China: China State Grid Pavilion goes with 360° surround sound system made by Fohhn.

State Grid Pavilion has a total exhibition area of 4000 sq. Main attraction is the so-called Magic Box.

The Magic Box is a cube with a 16 x 16 x 16m dimension. Each of its walls is completely equipped with LED screens. Visitors are virtually located inside a 720° cinema in which floor, ceiling and walls simultaneously act as projection screens and where they move towards some floating, transparent platform.

To sound these impressive visual happenings perfectly, state-of-the-art audio systems are assembled: electronically steerable sound systems made by Fohhn. These speakers actuate sound directly to where the spectators are located. Despite demanding acoustic conditions, the audience experiences perfectly differentiated and directed sound, situated amidst a 3D sound cube. The electronically steerable Fohhn Linea Focus line source speakers are extremely slim and therefore perfectly integrated into the architecture of the cube respectively its LED screens.
